is very pleased to share with you the good news about the recent award that has received the Ministry of Environment of Peru by the Executive Committee of the XVII Latin American Conference on International ESRI Users, for their work in implementing the WEB with Geoserver information for the Environmental and Territorial Management of Peru's Ministry of Environment of Peru.

The awards will be held at a special ceremony held during the American user conference to be held in Mexico City, Republic of Mexico, from 22 to 24 September 2010 and the Ministry of Environment are invited to present a paper on this implementation to the Latino community in this event.

As we know the satellite images are an invaluable tool, irreplaceable and strategic for the development of these activities, and its own satellite would give the Department the necessary autonomy and especially the immediate accessibility of information, cases like the recent dam failure Huachocolpa tailings are a clear example of the importance of this tool in their daily activities.
